When you consider the fact that renewable energies don’t destroy eco-systems and have the potential to meet global energy demand 100 times over, it’s easy to see why they’re being consistently chosen over fossil fuels.
But it gets better, these renewables are getting more affordable by the day too, and at the current 15-20% growth rates of solar and wind, fossil fuels will be pushed out of the electricity sector by the mid-2030s and out of total energy supply by 2050. The only problem is that this isn’t fast enough.
