CO2 levels are already at their highest in 2 million years, and continue to rise.

In the year 2000 - when scientists had well and truly discovered evidence of human-caused climate change - we released 24.6 billion tonnes of greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere, or roughly the amount of annual carbon pollution from 5 billion cars. Instead of lowering our emissions, by 2019 that figure had jumped to 37 billion.

It’s painfully obvious that we’re not doing enough to reverse this trend, we must call on our governments to take more action now.
